Indigenous Female Mentor Support Program
Access to mentoring support has been identified as one of the more sustainable methods to break down the barriers of disadvantage. Empower Me identifies strong, young, Indigenous, female leaders and offers them employment and training. The program gives vulnerable Indigenous young girls a connection point at school, both in and outside of the classroom.
How we deliver our Indigenous Female Mentor Support Program
Identified young indigenous women and girls are encouraged and recruited to become the leaders of tomorrow through:
Leadership Workshops
Player, coach, officials, and administrator leadership pathways.
Play Programs
Lead participation activities for women, girls and people with a disability.
Hockey Leaders Program
Capability building and empowerment – ongoing train-the-trainer.
Integrated Learning Journals
Accessible learning resources to support play and leadership programs.
Strong Partnerships
